Dodge

dodge   [doj]
verb, dodged, dodg⋅ing, noun
–verb (used with object)
1. to elude or evade by a sudden shift of position or by strategy: to dodge a blow; to dodge a question.

I think this definition needs to be considered before buying a vehicle with this name.
I forgot to update last week.  But after leaving the van there a week ago Friday when it died before I got it in drive after the "fixed" it.  They insisted on Monday that it was fine but that they hadn't allowed it time for the computer to reset for the new battery and new part.  It of course sounds like a bunch of crap-o-la to me but what could I do? I picked it up with their assurance that the issue would be warrentied for 12 months even beyond our regular warrenty.

All seemed ok for a couple days but it had also warmed up considerably outside.  Yesterday it was bitter cold again.  When I attmpted a breakfast run...it fought starting for a good while.  So back to the dealer it goes tomorrow.  I can't tell you how unhappy I am with them right now.  As a family of five with one "working" vehicle it's ridiculously stressful to keep having to deal with this.

So in case your in the market for a new vehicle...I'd suggest you, elude or evade the Dodges.

  1. I am a Chevrolet Girl! (I will settle with GMC as well.) Other than two Hondas, that is all I have ever owned. I hope your van gets fixed for good this time. I know it has got to be PAIN IN THE BUTT not having your mom wheels! Good luck to ya!

  4. My grandmother worked for Dodge, but always drove a Buick. I was having problems with my Caravan and her words were, "Did you notice I never bought a Dodge?" Guess that should have been my first clue...
