Sad to say goodbye, Corey Haim

Another sad celebrity death!

I must admit, I'm usually not affected by them. When Michael Jackson died I shed no tears or spent much time even considering it. But for some reason, hearing of Corey Haim's passing has caused me to take some pause this morning.

Corey Haim, was one of the few adorable celebrities that wallpapered my walls as a preteen. I adored him. Then more recently when he and Corey Feldman did the reality show, Two Coreys I watched. I continued to adore him as obviously messed up as he was. He was just this sad little lost puppy and I wanted to save him! Ok, part of that is my codependance issues, and I've been working on them but Come On, it's Corey freakin' Haim! I wanted to bring him home and make him happy again! Granted there were moments in the show that I thought, OMG if I were Feldman's wife, I'd KILL him! (If you wanted the show I'm sure you understand.) But watching you could clearly tell that he was just a lost lost soul and if something didn't change, THIS exact outcome was inevitable.

It is so sad to see these individuals who seemingly have so much going for them be so desperately unhappy. It goes to PROVE money can not buy happiness.

My heart goes out to his family and friends as they mourn their loss.

He will always hold a place in my heart!

  1. So sad, this is the first I've heard of it. I too watched him when I was in my teens. I feel sorry for his family.

  2. Lisa-

Ironic that you and I both picked the same topic today. I agree completely.

  3. while I have no idea who this Cory is that is all over the news, I do have to say that I feel for his family and friends because 2 weeks ago my best friends sister, who I was also friends with, overdosed and died. that kind of thing is so unimaginable at 21 years old and it was sooo devastating! :( RIP Cory! *megan*
