Glee Gum Review and Giveaway CLOSED

Available in Make Your Own Chocolate, Make Your Own Chewing Gum, and Make Your Own Gummies, these activity kits are all-natural, educational, and eco-friendly. With pre-packaged ingredients and easy-to-follow instructions, everyone aged 8 and up gets a real kick out of making candy from scratch. Focusing on the history behind and the origin of these candies, each kit is designed to captivate your interest, connect you to the global community, and create something yummy to eat in the process!

Glee Gum is all-natural, gluten-free chewing gum with no artificial coloring, flavoring, sweeteners nor preservatives. Glee Gum is the only gum in North America made the old-fashioned way, with chicle! Chicle is a natural tree sap harvested sustainably from the rainforests of Central America. Once all chewing gum was made with chicle, but today most gum is made entirely from synthetic stuff. Not Glee Gum! Glee Gum uses chicle because it is an eco-friendly way to help conserve the rainforest. Chicle is also what gives the gum such great, long-lasting chewing texture! Glee Gum is a “green” gum right down to the packaging, which is made from biodegradable, recycled cardboard. So chew with Glee, naturally!

We received the Make Your Own Chewing Gum kit.  I have to say the directions sort of made me nervous.  Having found that so many things that claim to be easy are far from it...when these actually admitted to being a "lot of work" I was worried.  But honestly, it was not bad.  There was a good amount of effort involved in kneading the ingredients together.  But it was not excessive, even for my 7 year old helper.  I'd say that a child much younger than 7 could easily help if they're used to being in the kitchen.  Just be sure to handle the hot parts for them, cuz it really is pretty hot.  But I started mixing things together until it was cooled a little and there was plenty of kneading left to be done.  If we'd had more room it would have worked well to have both of the older boys help as you make 2 flavors at one time. I didn't try the gum but Timmy tried both flavors and like them both, and Johnny tried the Cherry and liked it (he's not a fan of cinnamon).  It was a really cool experience for my gum addicted kiddo to get to make his own!!!  I think the chocolate kit will be the next on our list!

Ready to try your own skills?  One lucky reader will win one of Glee Gum's great make your self kits!
