Moon Dough review

Moon Dough is an out-of-this-world new molding dough that never dries out!

Hypo-allergenic and wheat-free, soft and marshmallow-like, Moon Dough does not stick to or stain material. Because Moon Dough never dries out, kids can use it again and again. Moon Dough is the latest and greatest new molding compound for kids ages 2-4 to sculpt into fun creations they will love to play with. The line also offers a variety of enjoyable play sets.

We had the opportunity to check out the Moon Dough Barn and to say it was a hit would be an understatement.  The man of the house is NOT a fan of all things dough, sand etc, so it was the perfect opportunity to break it out one afternoon while he was away helping out some family.  We only opened one color because despite any commercials I've ever seen dough colors do NOT stay separated when you're using this kind of stuff.  And just one (of three) packets of dough was enough to keep my crew happy.  They were smart to not make the handle on the barn permanently attached because both of my guys popped it off before they figured out how to work the thing.  (It goes back and forth instead of all the way around.)  And the hay stack and fence molds were a little tricky to get the dough out of even for my older guys.  But I really like this stuff.  The texture is weird, it is a little like the outside of a marshmallow but it can also be rubbed out to a smoother finish.  It does break up easier than other doughs but it also didn't stick to fabrics.  For the sake of this review I even attempted to run it into fabric and it did not stick or rub it.  It just brushes of.  This makes overall clean up easier too.  You can clean the flat play surface by using one chunk of Moon Dough to pick up smaller bits.  But you can also easily sweep up anything that's gotten on to the floor.  This is the part that usually makes my husband crazy because I let traditional doughs dry up before sweeping them.
