Flatout Review

In an attempt to start getting in better shape I've started making small improvements, or trying to, in my diet.  I still have a serious sweet tooth and I haven't done well curbing that yet.  But I've been trying to make other changes first.  Trying out some healthier alternatives to things that aren't more work for me.  I regularly keep bread at my office and just make myself a sandwich for lunch.  So the other day when I was at the store I decided to try Flatout flat bread and see if it was something I would actually enjoy.
Today I tried it with peanut butter. I'm sure I used more than a serving of peanut butter because I was afraid it'd end up dry.  And I was slightly afraid that the Flatout would be about as tasteless as the original rice cakes from back in the day.  But I was truly surprised but how good it was.  I actually could see just grabbing one and eating it on its own. Yeah that would probably defeat the whole purpose but, still, they are good!!  They were a little pricey but I did buy them at Walgreen's at full price so i am sure I could do better. But I figure $2.99 for 6 wraps is 6 lunches isn't horrible.  I think these will honestly be part of my new regular weekday routine.

Disclosure: I bought this product myself and have no connection at all to this company. I just thought I'd share my opinions on it for others who might be wondering about them.

  1. that's great that you like them!! I think they have a funny taste, so I'm super picky about what I'll eat in those.

  3. It looks like pita bread. I have put peanut butter on pita bread before and it's yummy. I have even put a few chocolate chips inside and microwaved it for a few seconds....even better!

Flatout bread seems to have a higher amount of fiber though if that is 9g on the package.

  4. I've seen those and I've wanted to try them. I bet your peanut butter roll up would be good with sliced bananas too--yum!

Thanks for joining in Type A Thursday! I was already a follower of yours, but I wanted to stop by anyway. :)

  7. You know, I actually like this flat bread. I've tried it several times as we like to eat wraps when we get tired of sandwiches. We make mini pizzas with it. :)
