New to Nutella

Many of my friends know that I have intentionally stayed away from Nutella because it sounds so good I'm afraid of being totally addicted.  But when Mommy Parties offered to send me a Nutella kit to host a party with, well I could fight the temptation no more.

And this girl is not at all surprised to find that I LOVED it.  And we didn't find anyone who didn't like it!! Well, there are those who wouldn't try it.  One being my husband who has a serious peanut butter aversion.  And then there was my ever interesting three year old who one minute loved it.  The next minute insisted he didn't.  The next minute was mad when I finished his and asked for another.  He ate half of the second one before deciding he 'didn't like' it and asked for a 'regular peanut butter famwich."

I could very easily see myself and the older boys being addicted to this as it could be amazing on some many things and in so many ways.   Nutella sent some great merchandise, recipe ideas and coupons for me to share in person with my friends but you can find many of the same great things online at Nutella's website.

If you aren't familiar with Nutella,  it is a hazelnut spread that smells and tastes heavenly.  I'm not a huge hazelnut person and this does have a hint of what I'd consider traditional hazelnut flavor but it really does take more like chocolate frosting than anything.  We served it on regular bread for our get together, which was probably not the best way to go as it tore up the bread leaving is less than perfect looking but it tasted amazing.  I could see it being put on anything like bagels,English Muffins, or flatbread.  I've heard of a local restaurant that serves Nutella crepes and I will definitely be checking those out now.  I can also see it as a great after school snack on graham crackers.  I've also heard of friends serving in on tortillas and wrapping bananas slices in with it.  Nutella could be used pretty much any way you use peanut butter or chocolate frosting.  And especially all the ways you'd like to use chocolate frosting but feel too guilty to!

If your family hasn't tried Nutella, pick up a jar today and see the funny reactions you'll get when you offer your kids a chocolate sandwich! Make it more fun and share it with some friends, like we did!

Disclosure: As stated, we were sent Nutella products and merchandise to share with our friends courtesy of Nutella and Mommy Parties.  All opinions are my own personal, honest feedback.

  3. Nutella is evil goodness. . . I ADORE the stuff but have to be careful with it. I can EASILY eat the entire jar in just a couple of days.

  4. My favorite way is on graham crackers and pretzels. I tried the crepes, and that was just another way to get the Nutella into my mouth. Yum.

  11. OK, this is probably terrible to say on your lovely post but I HATE Nutella. I know, I know... blasphemy. It's just gross to me, probably because I don't like the taste of hazelnuts at all. Yep, I'm a freak. :)

Thank you for stopping by my blog to say hello from the Alexa hop!
