KIDZ BOP SINGS MONSTER BALLADS Review

As a music fan that grew up in the 80s, I must admit I am a sucker for the monster ballads. I remember longing to be old enough for a credit card so I could call and order those 8 CD sets that were adversited on TV late nights in the early 90s.
My best friend in middle school introduced me to Bret Michael's and Poison and I have been a fan ever since.  I watched the completely unfamily friendly show he did Rock of Love on VH1 for all three immoral seasons.  It didn't always paint him in the best light, but what can I say, I'm a sucker for other people's drama.  But then he did Celebrity Apprentice and showed what a kind hearted, intelligent guy he was.  The season of Celeb Apprentice showed several instances of his struggle with being away from his daughter who was going through testing for Diabetes, a disease he has lived with for years.  But as he prepared for the final challenge, his daughter came for a visit in a very teary moment.  When Bret went on to overcome a serious brain trauma to not only be at the finale but WIN, I was blown away.
While there are certainly sides of Bret Michaels that may not be what you want your child to look up to, no one can deny his love for his children and his musical talent!  And now he's combined these two things as he and his children have performed together for Kidz Bop Sings Monster Ballads.
If you are a fan of Kidz Bop which features children singing cleaned up versions of classic and current hits you'll love the newest release.
Visit KidzBop.com to listen to a clip of each of the tracks on the new CD.

Disclosure: Our family received a complimentary copy of this CD for review purposes.  However, all opinions expressed are my own honest, personal feedback.
