Obama Trumps Donald Trump

So what do you think? Did Obama intentionally time his announcement so that it cut off the Donald?  I saw the clips of what ended up looking like a Donald Trump roast at whatever dinner took place this week.  Clearly, President Obama is holding a lil resentment there.  I think it's totally possible.  In the end, I'm not sure it really matters.  But I did think it was a unusually late time for the President to address the nation.  And as a fan of Celebrity Apprentice, I was annoyed.  Honestly, I don't think this new is worthy of dancing in the streets.  For the families who lost a loved one on 9/11 who feel some justice, I am happy.  But I don't think it means anymore than that for our country.  I think he was one man among MANY who are willing to die for their hatred of our country.  Following the twitter feeds last night I can safely say I am not the only one who is made more nervous by knowing we took him out.  I think we just repainted the biggest brightest target on our backs YET!
So I suppose in the light of these thoughts, whether Obama took one last chance to gab it to Trump, is pretty insignificant!

  1. I definitely think it was done on purpose ONLY because he was supposed to come out and speak an hour or so earlier. I'm a Celebrity Apprentice fan too :)

  2. I have to agree with you. In fact, I kinda posted the same thoughts. just not as light hearted. ;) I like your take on it though!

  3. This is definitely a new take on the whole thing! I saw a few people tweeting about the funny timing too.

  4. I'm not a fan of the Donald at all (can't stand him actually) so this is funny to me.

  5. Thank you for voicing what all us Celebrity Apprentice fans were thinking. I had already invested 1 hour and 45 minutes of my time into that episode and was DYING to see NeNe and Star go at it. (BTW, NeNe should have been fired at the BEGINNING of the show for acting so GHETTO in front of not only Trump but the CLIENT!!!)

I thought to have a statement that late on a Sunday was ridiculous. I was thinking it must be them finally announcing there is a huge asteroid coming right this way. What a letdown!

  6. I don't like Celebrity Apprentice, but Trump is OK. I think it definitely looked like Obama acted like an immature brat by doing that, but who knows.

I agree with you that I don't think Bin Laden's death is going to make that much of a difference. Someone will step up and take his place, and now they are going to hate us even more.

  7. IDK about all of this... Trump loves publicity that is why he is rich, he knows how to get attention.

  8. I do think they could have waited before breaking into the shows. I was quite surprised when it cut off as I was trying to catch up on the show that night.

Yes it was big news. But did we really need to listen to the news anchors yammer on and on and on before the president spoke? I don't think so.

  9. I agree with you. Celebrating a man's death no matter how evil they were is a bit unusual. I do realize it gives many people a bit of vindication and justice though.
