How would you like to spend a MONTH at the Musuem of Science and Industry in Chicago? No? Well that's exaclty what Month at the Museum 2, winner Kevin is doing.
While there is admittedly more to see than you can do in a day, I'm not sure I am ready to sign up for a full month. But it's fun to watch as Kevin gets some great behind the scenes glimpses of MSI in action.
And you can enter to win one of TWO 4-packs of tickets to the Museum of Science and Industry and see if you can find Kevin in person.
From Oct. 19 –
Nov. 17, 2011, Kevin will call MSI home, immerse himself in science,
explore everything the 14-acre building has to offer, and report it all
to the public!
About Month at the Museum 2:
After the success of the first Month at the Museum
contest in 2010, the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago again
picked one curious, adventuresome individual—Kevin Bryne, 33, a digital
media analyst in Chicago—to live at MSI 24/7 for 30 days this fall, from
Oct. 19 – Nov. 17 2011. During his stay, Kevin will take in all the
exciting activities and exhibits that the Museum has to offer, mingle
with guests, and share it all with the public online through a blog,
Facebook and Twitter. And at the end of it all, he will take home a
$10,000 prize and bragging rights for a lifetime.
The Museum is open every day of the year except December 25th.

We go to the Musuem at least once a year, although my kids would like to go much more often. I love the concept of Month a the Museum, but I could never do it. My son and husband would love to stay there for 30 days!
ReplyDeletewe still haven't been (gasp!). each year my kids get a free pass for attending school on the first day, but we never seem to make it down there before it expires. maybe this year will be the year...
ReplyDeleteif i didn't have to worry about my kids, i would definitely do it. that would be so fun!

ReplyDeleteThe last time we were there was last Xmas. Is it sad that I'd love to do a Month at the Museum just to have a month's worth of "me" time? No kiddo, no husband, no housework. Someone needs a vacation!! :)

I haven't been to MSI in over 10 years. I wouldn't want to live in the museum for 1 month - no thanks!

ReplyDeleteI haven't been in years, but I love it and can't wait to take my kids someday. :)
ReplyDeleteI follow you on Twitter (@SuperSuburbs) - and I forgot to say in my last comment, I would happily spend a month there - what a neat opportunity for him!
ReplyDeleteThis is almost like going to confession....Bless me Lisa it has been MANY years since my last visit to MSI
ReplyDeleteIt's been a year or two, though we went often when the boys were younger. A month at the museum would have been awesome when I was young/single/childless.
ReplyDeleteWe just visited last week - my son wanted to see the Dr. Seuss exhibit for his 4th birthday! We saw Kevin - it was his second day :) I'd LOVE to live at the museum. I considered applying, but since I was (& still am) breastfeeding my son I didn't think it'd work so well! Maybe when the kids are older they'll do it again :)
ReplyDeletewe were there over the summer - my kids LOVE MSI! I don't think I personally would stay there for a month - but I know my son would in in a nanosecond!

It has been way to long since I have been there, probably at least 10 years! Would love to take my boys there though!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to the Museum of Science and Industry for about 4 years - when I was a journalist I used to go there quite regularly to cover new exhibits, and I really enjoyed it. And I would love to live there for a month!

Ok, so I actually haven't been to the museum for awhile, BUT I need to go. Mister Man had a field trip there today and absolutely loved it. And he wants to know when he can go back and show me hwat he learned. How sweet is he?

We visited over the summer. The kids had a blast. If I didn't have kids, I'd totally do a month at the museum!

ReplyDeleteWe went to the museum a couple months ago - it was tons of fun. And I'd totally do the month at the museum. When they had the first person to do it, I wanted to enter, but my husband said no. I'm sure it didn't have anything to do with taking care of the kids, my job, etc ;)

ReplyDeleteIt has been a couple years since I have been to the museum. I would love to go back! I'm not sure I would want to spend a month there, but a week would be wonderful.

Geez, I can't even remember the last time I went to the museum. I think I could be up for a month at MSI merely to get away from my kids for 30 days. It wold be easier to miss them that way. I mean it would be weird, but interesting all at the same time.

ReplyDeleteWe went to the museum last Christmas to see all the international trees. Or maybe it was two years ago.... Hmmmm... maybe it is time to go back! :) I actually think living there for a month would be pretty cool. I bet it has it's challenges but overall seems like a fun idea.
