Smart Looks. Smart Prices. from @HairCuttery #Giveaway

Growing up I always had my hair done by the same person who did my mom's.  As I got into my later teens I wanted to use someone a little younger.  In my early twenties I had a hair stylist that I LOVED, personally and style wise.  But after several happy hair cuts, she moved out of state.  And with the exception of doing my hair for my wedding (I told you I loved her!) she hasn't touched my hair since she moved.  For over ten years I've been blindly in search of someone who got my need for constant change with my hair.  I went to stylist friends recommended with mixed results.  I did love one, but my budget didn't.  And then one day, desperate for a long over due hair cut, like NOW I wondered into the local Hair Cuttery and plopped down in the first available chair.  And choirs of angels sang.  I left with a fun and funky cut I LOVED and that was super kind to my budget.

I now take the whole family to Hair Cuttery.  I love that we can just stop in when we have the time OR since my stylist is a 'Master Stylist' I can make an appointment for a only a couple extra dollars.  And that's exactly what I did last Friday.  I called during the day and got myself and appointment for a cut and color.

If you thought Hair Cuttery was just for cuts, think again. They're a full-service, value-priced salon offering a full complement of premium cut, styling, coloring, waxing and texturizing services.

I can honestly say I have never found anyone this good for this reasonable of a price.  Yes I did splurge as it had been way too long since I'd taken care of my hair and got a full head of highlights, toner, cut and style.  It did run me just over $100 but I have paid close to that for a haircut and double that for a few foil highlights.  If I'd opted for just the fabulous haircut it would have only been $17.  And for kids its even less. (I can get all three boys done and looking uber handsome for less than $40.)

But a picture is worth a thousand words, probably more when you're talking about hair styles.  So here's the proof....

Before

Horrible split ends, no style.  And my box dye job was growing out and showing my grey hair.  Seriously it'd been MONTHS since I had it cut. And way over that since it'd been professionally colored.

 After

I am so seriously in love with this cut.  It feels amazing too.  This is how it looked when I got home from Hair Cuttery.  But not being the best with styling my own hair, I wondered what I'd be able to make it look like on my own.

With just a little bit of product and few minutes with the hair dryer I got this the following day...

And because bathroom lighting doesn't do the color justice and its a little too cold to go outside yet here, here's the best I could do to show of the color in natural lighting...

Whether you’re getting glossy with a sleek Keratin treatment, reenergizing with a radical chop, camouflaging fifty shades of gray, or because you heard blondes have more fun—there’s nothing like a day at the salon to make you feel like a million bucks. And with nearly 900 locations on the East Coast and throughout the Midwest you'll be able to find one near you.

I'd give it to my husband - his hair grows like a weed and he has to get it cut every few weeks. He goes to a cheap place, but it adds up fast! This would hold him over for a few months, at least. :)
