LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago opened a brand new exhibit: LEGO® Star Wars™ MINILAND
Young Padawans will learn to harness the Force in LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago's first-ever LEGO Star Wars MINILAND - a large-scale, interactive LEGO model display, chronicling the adventures of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace.
Take part in a thrilling Podrace through treacherous terrain on the
planet Tatooine, and help defeat the evil Droid Army on the rolling
plains of Naboo.

Last night my family got to get a sneak peak at the brand new exhibit and if you have a LEGO Star Wars fan, they will LOVE it!
The boys got to take part in helping build a larger than life LEGO Yoda!
In addition to getting to be among the first few families to see the brand new exhibit, we also searched the existing MINILAND (featuring the familiar spots of Chicago) for Star Wars characters. And counted the pod racers hidden among the jungle exhibit.
And of course there may have been some cupcakes...
To make the evening extra special, Star Wars characters wandering LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago for the evening. I couldn't get Bryan to go anywhere close to most of the characters so we didn't get a good group shot (and the lighting isn't great and light sabers really don't help).
Overall it was an fabulous evening. I love that my boys are getting old
enough to enjoy places like this while I can sit back some and chat with
friends and have a good time too! |
