Not Me! Monday 1-26-09

It's once again time for Not me! Monday. Where we're being brutally honest and living to tell about it. If you don't know what Not me! Monday is, go check it out with it's creator MckMama. And if you haven't tried this amazing therapeutic method of releasing the deepest darkest corners of your world...give it a try, I promise you'll be happy you did.

I did NOT start this week's list late last Monday, so that I could simply add things as they happened rather than having to rely on my senile mind to remember all the stuff I didn't do for a whole week. No that would be silly and slightly obsessive.

I did NOT question whether my oldest was truly sick, even after he'd thrown up twice. (There's a post to explain that one, just so you don't think I'm totally stupid.)

I did NOT once again use the number programmed for speed dial on my cell to call my son in sick to school.

I did NOT have my 6 year old throw up in a plastic bag while in the car. I did NOT then leave said bag outside our front door in the snow, in hopes it would freeze and not smell anything up until it got taken out back to the garbage.
I did NOT leave planning my baby's birthday until the very last minute. Thus realizing that the date I had been contemplating was actually Super Bowl Sunday. So I have NOT simply thrown in the towel and decided cake with just us will be fine. And I have NOT lost any sleep over this decision for fear of him one day realizing he was jipped compared to his brothers. No I don't obsess about such things. And I did NOT procrastinate because I am in denial that my final (yes absolutely final!) baby is turning one. No I am entirely to with it do any of the above!!

I did NOT wait for ONE HOUR this morning for a rental car AGAIN. And I therefor did NOT arrive to work at 10am today. Nope I'm punctual and a loyal employee.

I did NOT almost cry at any point this morning over this whole stupid car escapade. I'm NOT emotional like that. I don't cry when I'm mad. And this issue did NOT prevent me from being as forceful as I know I should have been!

I did NOT apparently forget to pay the phone bill resulting in our satellite being shut off. I do NOT think it's crazy that after 5 years of regular payment that they'd shut it off after a mere 20 days lateness. Of course that wouldn't bother me because I'd never forget a bill so it wouldn't matter to me. And I am NOT currently contemplating whether I should simply make everyone in my house wait the few days for a normal payment to go through or if I should phone in a check to get it turned on in 4 hours. I do NOT think this may be a good thing for all of us to have to cut out some screen time. Nope this is NOT something I'd have to consider because I neither watch or let me kids watch to much TV.

Oh and I am NOT hosting two giveaways that I am shamelessly plugging right now. I do NOT desperately want you all to go enter....

  1. Car problems suck ((hugs)), if he threw up in said car you should have left the vomit in their for them to find now that would have been fun lol.

  5. Car trouble sucks eggs. We're down a car, too, and we have no garage but it's too cold (-1 is the HIGH today!) to fix it outside. :-p

I love the frozen thrown up wish though..that's just perfect!

I did the same birthday thing this year with Caleb for his 2nd. I felt guilty and still do for fractions of a minute..I did cupcakes instead of a big cake but you know things are crazy with a baby in the house :)
