Not Me! Monday 2-9-09

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Last week...
I did not take my van back to the dealership for the 3rd/4th time in a month, that I pray is the last time.

I did not spend 4 hour Saturday night/Sunday morning from 12 am to 4 am watching my baby practice his standing skill instead of sleeping.  No my children are all perfect sleepers.  And I get 8 hours of sleep every night!

I did not let me 6 year old attempt to make his own instant oatmeal for the first time Sunday morning totally unmonitored.  No I'm a very hands on mom who enjoys teaching her children to be self sufficient at an early age regardless of how much more work it actually makes.  And, if that HAD happened, he definitely didn't end up washing almost two entire packets down our sink!

I did not torture my kids by not letting them watch any TV on Saturday because there have been too many tantrums lately.  This couldn't be possible because my kids don't have tantrums and I don't ever let them watch too much TV.

I did not cry at all this week.  Not while I wrote blogs, read comments, other blogs or facebook.  I did not at home, work, church and my mom's house.  My emotions are NOT that close to the surface.  (But if I did, I did truly appreciate all the wonderfully kind comments from my readers!)

I did NOT surprise myself by reaching out to two different ladies to work through the issues that I haven't been crying about.  I don't have issues reaching out or asking for help, so that would be totally normal to me.  It wouldn't involve some excruciating doubting of myself to do so.

I did NOT have to decline the chance to send my middle son to the school district preschool because of lack of transportation.  And I did NOT feel horrible about this because he deserves it!!

I am NOT addicted facebook. I have not added a ton of friends this week and I don't stalk the site waiting for new updates or photos. I have entirely too much of a life for that.

  2. Good for you for (NOT) reaching out to others this week for help. I do NOT know how difficult that can be...

Here's hoping a better week is ahead!

  3. Honestly, I don't think it was anymore torture than a normal day. A normal day consists of them buggin me a lot for a specific movie, which they never agree on, or a video game or fighting over the TV shows. So yes it was annoying to listen to their whining but worth it. I had Christian music on all day and enjoyed it.
