Made for me!!

Ever see something and swear its a product MADE for you?  That's how I'm feeling about my new Jenda.

I think I might have been organized, in another life.  I say this because I have all the theories of organization, and can organize a space (given enough room for the amount of stuff) but I think I simply don't have the memory retention for organization anymore.  I am a list writer.  That would be super helpful if I was not also a list loser and forgetter!  Seriously, one afternoon I took Timmy to Walmart with me after picking him up from school.  On the way, he wrote a list for me.  (For some reason I can remember everything I need when I'm sitting in the car, but those blower things over their doors must also have some sort of mind erasing power because I immediately forget half of what I needed.  So anyway, Timmy writes the list.  But then we FORGOT the list in the car.
I always try to keep a accurate calendar of everything we have going on as a family.  But it never seems to be in the right place at the right time.  I tried getting a large calendar for the house and one month it just never got flipped over...and that was the end of that.
Then I got the Jenda....

From the website:
This flexible, easy-to-use calendaring solution can be used by anyone, anytime, anywhere. No matter what kind of schedule, Jenda owners have found it an indispensable way to keep on track.

No more deciphering handwriting - record messages in your own voice!

Jenda comes with magnets, wall mounts and a desk stand to keep it convenient wherever your life happens!

It even tells when the batteries need to be replaced.

What could be easier?

At Home:
Your home life is hectic and your kitchen is your command center.
Jenda keeps up with your crowded and ever-changing schedule.
Jenda is quick and easy to use - no computer to boot up, no software to learn.
So easy even young children are leaving and listening to messages before you can say "Bob's your uncle!"

At the Office:
Keep your calendar at your fingertips.
Record phone numbers, messages, and reminders for easy retrieval at the push of a button.
Not at your desk? Colleagues can record a message more quickly than leaving a voicemail or writing email.

For Busy Professionals:
Professional couples use Jenda to coordinate work, travel and home time.
Have housemates? Use Jenda to assign household chores using the weekly feature, schedule the party for the big game, or leave a message that you took the last soda, but are stopping at the store for more later.

For Seniors:
From volunteering to lunch with the girls to theater to Dr.'s appointments, you've got a full schedule. Jenda keeps you organized and moving.
Schedule special time with grandchildren - record their voice making a playdate!
Record the whole family's birthdays - just once - and be reminded for years to come

For students - at home or in the dorm:
Keep track of your study sessions and term papers.
Schedule sports practice, games and tournaments.
Are you available to babysit Friday night? Press Friday to find that you're free!

We're using ours at home.  And I'm convinced this will be the end of these conversations;

hubby: hey what are we doing next weekend
me: umm...what's the date? ::pause::  I'd know!  I'm pretty sure we have something but I don't remember what.  do you remember?
hubby: no.  (then he proceeds to guess at things)  Was it something with your parents...was it something with...

This rarely ends in a productive manner.  Occasionally I'll remember later, or I will find a note.  Sometimes, we assume it wasn't something super important or set in stone and let it go.  Sometimes we end up missing something we had wanted to do simply because we couldn't remember.  And once in awhile we commit to something else because we didn't remember.

The Jenda, is seriously easy to use.  It took me just seconds to start adding things to our calendar.  I had Johnny help me record some birthday's as yearly reminders and will add more...when I bring home my calendar from work!  I'm also hoping this will prevent us showing up at the wrong time for T-Ball again this year also.  T-Ball is every Monday and Wednesday during the season so remembering days is easy but there are 3 different times they might play.  So we may have shown up at the wrong time, once.  I couldn't find the schedule at home but was SURE I remembered it was the late time from checking at work.  I was wrong.  So Grampa N showed up for the earliest game (because I gave him a copy of the schedule that he hadn't lost!) and we weren't there.

In addition to the calendar feature you can keep a to do list.  And you can always put any type of reminder you need on a certain day on your calendar.  And the reminder light flashes when you have any type of message for today's date.  And how cute will it be to hear a Happy Birthday in Johnny's voice on my birthday!!

There are many options for the Jenda!!!

If you already have a system that works for you, that's great.  But if you don't, you REALLY should look at the Jenda.  It may be a lifesaver for you too.

Hmmm...maybe I'll even record a reminder to draw the winners for my contests on Saturday.  Just be sure YOU don't forget to enter.
