Not Exactly Crunchy

So, I have to admit, I'm not exactly the 'crunchy' eco-friendly mom I know that so many of my bloggy buddies are. In fact, I've been known to refer to myself as a "soggy" mom. I had a soggy cohort, but even she left me in the "soggy" dust when she started cloth diapering. I think I've come a small way at least since the birth of my youngest. I fell in love with babywearing, until
my back screamed at me to stop because of his tankish size. And well, I'm still, at least partly, in love with cosleeping. But both of these are driven by selfish motives. I have admitedly made no real progress in the eco-friendly side of things. It's not that I don't care. And it scares me when I consider what things, really unnatural things, my kids are exposed to all in the name of convience. But I just don't know if my mind can handle anymore worries most days. But some days I think it's just old ways of thinking that get in my way. Like when I think of all natural
and/or organic, I just don't always have positive thoughts. But recently our family was sent some organic plush toys from Hosung NY Inc.

We received Ben from miYim's Fairytale plush collection. He came beautifully packed, in recycled packaging, of course. (with NO plastic ties!) And despite my preconcieved notions, is so super soft. If you're like me and need to learn more about what organic really means when it comes to things like plush toys, stop here at the miYim site! But I can tell you my favorite part of organic, no gross smell. Some might think I'm crazy but my kids room smells horrible from all the plasticy smells. I'm constantly telling the boys to take toys away from me because of the gross smell they have.

Baby Ben Plush Frog

Collection:
Fairytale Plush
Item:
21706
Size: 9 in/21 cm

Baby Ben is an
adorable green frog. He comes
wearing hemp overalls. He's soft to touch and
made with ceritifed organic
and
natural cotton.

They have several other collections with many choices in each collection.

We also recieved a sweet bunny from the My Natural collection. Again it's totally soft and huggable. With things like this, I seriously can't see any excuse NOT go green. The kids don't know the difference. It's a great product and none of the yucky nastiness to think about.

  1. I had to laugh about the "baby wearing" comment. I have been "slinging" my newest daughter and told my hubby, there's no way I could have done it with the boys! Mine were rather "tankish" as well. ;)

  2. I guess I didn't realize you could get all natural and organic plush toys. My boys are too big for something like that but I have a few little nieces who I could spoil with something like that.
