They Live to Prove Me Wrong

Ok, granted, it was simply bound to happen eventually.  But I SWEAR (and yes, unlike may of my wonderful blogging buddies, I really do swear, sometimes like a trucker) that my children live to prove me wrong!  I've known this, for awhile, about Timmy.  I'm convinced he will consume anything, in just about any amount, if I tell him he can't have it because he won't eat it.  He'll swear he will and when I say there's just no way...he will inevitably prove me wrong.  Sometimes I can clearly see his discomfort written all over his face but he pushes on.  I figure this determination will some day serve him well if I am not the only one he insists on proving wrong and it applies to nonfood related things.
But yesterday Bryan set out to start proving me wrong. Just the day before I'd shared that he's not walking.  And though I may not have said it, I've been wondering if he ever will.  But last night he decided he might be willing to try.  And he did it again and again.  Tom would stand him up and he'd walk.  Then sit (or fall) down, crawl back to him and do it again.  Now he still will NOT stand up if I attempt to get him to walk but I'll take what I can get.  He very clearly demonstrated what we've pretty much known for awhile, he is clearly physically able.  It's simply a matter of him deciding it's what he wants to do.
But although they aren't good 'quality' photographs, I got a bunch of memorable snaps of his first real steps toddling around our living room. (Yes, I promise that IS in fact our living room and not a child's bedroom or play room!  Someday I'll have a living room that doesn't look like a toy store.)
