My Birthday Wish

If I could have just one wish, it would be that no child ever have to suffer from illness, that no mother would ever have to spend a night with their child in the hospital.  Fortunately, I myself have never had this experience so I can't say I really know what its like.  But I do know that I feel so much for every story I hear.  That my heart literally hurts for people I've never even met as I feel just the slightest bit of what they must be going through as they sit and pray that their child will be ok.  I am a believer.  I believe with all my heart that my God is control of every situation and only has plans to prosper, not harm his children, but when it comes to the suffering of an innocent child, it is often hard to see the good in the situation.  But in the case of sweet little Stellan, the love and faith that he has brought about is so evident.  He has done so much in his 8 short months than most will do in 80 years.  If you haven't been following his story, you really should go read up on him.  Stellan is one of the most beautiful babies I've ever seen, who smile has lasted through more than any adult I know could tolerate.  God's spirit literally shines through his little miracles eyes.

So while, I don't think my wish for all children will come true today, I will keep hoping and praying for this one little boy.  I pray for rest and healing for Stellan.  For peace and comfort for his parents, for they have faith and strength beyond measure.  For wisdom for his doctors. And I pray for all the other families going through similar situations.  Lastly, I praise God for every that I have my children, healthy and happy!!  Won't you join my in prayer today?
