Maroon 5 have released two multi-platinum studio albums (2002’s Songs About Jane and 2007’s It Won’t Be Soon Before Long), scored a string of hit singles (“This Love,” “She Will Be Loved,” “Harder to Breathe,” “Sunday Morning,” “Makes Me Wonder”), won three Grammy Awards, and sold 15 million albums around the world. Now the Los Angeles quintet is back with Hands All Over — produced by veteran studio wizard Robert John “Mutt” Lange (AC/DC, Foreigner, The Cars), the album is a killer hybrid of rock, pop, funk, and R&B, that showcases the band’s considerable strengths: buoyant, unforgettable melodies, sleek, stylish grooves, charged lyrics about turbulent relationships, and crisp, dynamic performances.

In advance of the album, Maroon 5 have released two singles – “Misery” (accompanied by the powerful video directed by Joseph Kahn), and the just-released “Give a Little More.” The band recently recorded an exclusive live performance for the VEVO Summer Sets series, with three clips released so far including “Give a Little More.” Maroon 5 has spent most of the summer on tour in the US; their current US tour activities will go through September 1st, and then resume on October 6th and extend through the end of the month.

I have always LOVED Maroon 5, so it's really NO surprise to me that I love the new album as well.  They are easily in my top 5 favorite bands right now and the Hands All Over album was another hit for me.  Maroon 5 clearly has a distinct sound that tells you its them, but this album mixes it up enough that each track does have its one personality.  I downloaded it to iTunes on my computer at work and it's light enough to play in the office without worry of offending anyone BUT there IS a risk of someone catching me singing along or dancing a little!  Especially the already released Misery and another of my personal favorites on the album Stutter.
