Snow Watch 2011

This is our yard, yesterday afternoon before the "snowpocalypse" started.

We got another inch or two last night but everyone still had work and school.  The snow has started today but nothing super heavy.  I will be leaving work very soon and hopefully the crazy stuff holds off until we get the boys home from school.
Entire towns have notified people they are shut down tomorrow (via facebook) but we still have no word on school closing for tomorrow.  But my boss has already said we're closed unless they are totally wrong and we don't get anything close to what they're calling for.
Yesterday I made one last stop at the store for toilet paper, an extra loaf of bread and gallon of milk.  So I THINK we're all set.  My only concern is that the crazy wind they are calling for added to the snow and cold might lead to some power outages and that is a scary proposition!!

Assuming we keep power, I'll post photos as the snow starts here and on twitter.  And if you are somewhere warm and sunny...don't rub it in, ok!?!

  2. I'm still in denial and highly amused by all the panic, however, it has started snowing heavily in Morris just 16 miles to my west

  7. You're right. Being without power is WAY worse than any amount of snow! I hope it doesn't get too bad out there!
