Disney Channel’s Hit Music-Filled Movie
EXTENDED EDITION - Debuts on DVD and Digital Copy – May 24, 2011

Synopsis: Be heard. Be strong. Be proud. It’s time to turn up the music and have some fun with the hit Disney Channel Original Movie starring Bridgit Mendler, Adam Hicks, Hayley Kiyoko, Naomi Scott, Blake Michael, Nick Roux, Chris Brochu, Tisha Campbell-Martin and Christopher McDonald, on a 2-Disc DVD Set (DVD + Digital Copy).
LEMONADE MOUTH: EXTENDED EDITION, which releases on May 24th in the U.S. and May 17th in Canada, features 10 awesome songs from the No. 1 soundtrack debut and an exclusive extended music scene only available on DVD. It also includes an exciting “Rock-Along” version of the movie that allows fans to sing along, with lyrics to all the songs.
This spirited, music-driven movie introduces an unlikely ensemble of five students -- Olivia, Wen, Stella, Mohini and Charlie – who, after meeting in detention, gradually realize their shared musical connection and belief that it's time for the students of Mesa High to stand up and be heard on things big and small (ranging from the school Principal's exclusive support of the athletic programs to the removal of the popular organic lemonade from the cafeteria). Ultimately, as they open up to each other and form friendships, they start a band -- Lemonade Mouth -- that soon resonates with students sidelined by the high school elite. However, not everyone in the school is ready to cheer them on, especially since the popular rock group Mudslide Crush is determined to maintain their headline status and win the coveted Rising Star music competition.

My kids watched this movie when it was on TV but I didn't sit down to watch with them.  When we got the DVD they were excited to watch it again and I sat and watched it with them. And I am glad I did.  It was a good movie with lots of different lessons throughout about standing up for what you believe in, believing in yourself, not judging others etc.  And some pretty decent music.  There was enough silly stuff in it to actually keep my 3 year interested even though it's clearly made for older kids.  At a time when more and more movies for this age group (tweens) are pushing the line with what parents consider appropriate, I thought this one was great.
I am glad to have added this to our movie collection!

Disclosure: We received a complimentary copy of this DVD for review purposes.

  1. This movie sounds quite interesting. Of course, it is much better to watch movie on TV rather than on DVD player.

  2. I love when they surprise you and you like them!

Thanks for leaving me a comment!!
