As if the 3 or 4 days a week I spend at the baseball field for my son's games and practices isn't enough. We decided to take in TWO games on Sunday. The first was my son's coach's All Star Game. It was beautiful weather and it was just Timmy and I so it was a nice couple hours. His coach's team lost but I think it was great that he wanted to be there to support a coach that has been really good to him.
Then we headed home for a little rest (and A/C) before heading to the home opener of the local minor league team near us, the Lake County Fielders. With a newly redone stadium and a revamped team, things were looking a whole lot different from last season for the Fielders, including their current WINNING record. A home open won in the 10th inning, followed by some great fireworks, made for a great evening at the ball field!
I took the photo above after being told that this was in fact THE Jose Conseco. Turns out, he DOES in fact play for the team but wasn't there that evening for some reason, but this is Jose's brother Ozzy. I'm still wondering how he feels about Jose glamming it up all girly on the Celeb apprentice last year!
And we finished our abundance of baseball with my son's All Star game on Monday.
