So in the name of being real, I'm sharing my 'Oops' this week. This was actually a couple weeks ago and I keep forgetting to share but I totally blew off the dishes one night and had someone come over the next night so I shoved the pot in the oven to hide it...and then totally forgot about it for a couple more days....
Someone tell me I'm not the only one who's done something so nasty!
Someone tell me I'm not the only one who's done something so nasty!
Oh no!! lol.
ReplyDeleteI forget the laundry in the washer all the time, it's only a matter of time that this'll happen to me...
;)
Yeah I have a load I have to rewash tonight before I can dry it cuz I forgot it...
DeleteOh dear well I left a Yorkshire pudding in the oven and spotted it 2 days later and no one missed it their dinner the day i cooked it LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a fantabulosa week
I think we have all done something like that before. I actually forgot to wash my crockpot once. Put it back in the cabinet with the old food and all still in there. Imagine what it looked like a few weeks later when I pulled it back out. Gross! lol
ReplyDeleteIt happens! lol
ReplyDeleteBeen there, done that, more times than I can count! Come visit me at NanaHood.com Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThe funny part is that I thought the picture was a sculpture at first.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, been there done that. With dishes and, as above, with laundry in the washer (in fact I had to redo a load this morning because of that).
ReplyDeleteI am just trying to imagine not using my oven for a couple of days right now in the middle of winter.
I actually went m-F without cooking at home last week cuz we were running so much.
DeleteHahaha I've done the same exact thing! :-)
ReplyDeleteoh no, i have done the same!
ReplyDeleteThisdayilove
I have had my moments when I have forgotten that something is on the stove and find it burnt! Thanks for hosting and Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah definitly happend to me! Happy WW!

That is really nasty. You are so brave to share. I hope nobody calls the health department. I am another who leaves the laundry in the washer. Purrs and hugs from The Cat on My Head Kitties
ReplyDeleteOh dear. I hope it wasn't too difficult to clean afterwards!
ReplyDeleteYou are definitely not the only one! I've done the same...with an iron skillet of gravy! It was soooooo nasty!
ReplyDeleteI turned the oven on the other night to preheat for a cake I was baking and when I opened the door to place the cake in, I discovered a baking dish still there from the previous night. Oops!
ReplyDeleteYep. That's pretty gross.

I sure wish I could say you were the only one...but I know you aren't, because I do similar things like that more often than I care to admit!
ReplyDeleteI've never had this happen, but I really don't know why. It totally seems like something I would do. I think I forget laundry more than dishes. I have had more than my share of forgotten funky loads.

YUK - that truly is gross! I would have probably forgotten about it for weeks! Good on you for sharing! Emily
ReplyDeleteI didn't know quite what to make of this pic at first. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh dear , have left cauliflower cheese under the griller (off) once and forgot till a week later when I went to use grill again.
ReplyDeleteOk, in the spirit of "keeping it real" yes, I've had this happen to me. I had to use the dishwasher and stove one time. Totally forgot about what I had shoved in there. lol Thanks for letting me get that off my chest!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's pretty nasty! I've left vegetables in the steamer over night. Not good!
ReplyDeleteNope! You're not the only one!
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
Definitely not the only one... I find a few of these left over from my other half! Shhhh! ;) x
ReplyDeleteI stash my dirty dishes in the oven all time time...and they do stay they for way too long sometimes...
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you explained because I had NO idea what I was looking at!
ReplyDeleteWhat?! Gross! I would NEVER … no, no, I totally have done that. And the mildewed-laundry thing, too.
ReplyDeletehaha! that's totally happened a couple times here! *blush*
ReplyDeleteSometimes I baked stuff, leave it in the oven to cool, forget about it for three days, preheat the oven to bake tuna casserole, and burn my three-day-old baked goods.
ReplyDeleteIf it can happen - it happens!
I have so many oopsies like that!
ReplyDeleteI have ruined at least two pots that have boiled dry ;)
We have hidden stuff in the stove before and forgotten about it!
ReplyDeleteHa...that totally sounds like something I would do. I normally throw them in the dishwasher...and have had my husband accidently wash them (when they weren't dishwashable) - I guess that's one way to get a new pan! ; ) Thanks for linking up with The BOAT!
ReplyDeleteJust be glad you didn't turn the oven on and start cooking it lol
ReplyDeleteOh I did that to a clean pot once. that was a horrible smell cuz of a plastic section of the handle. But cooking mold might even be worse
DeleteOohhh that looks nasty!
ReplyDeleteI've done things like that too. Yuck!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up over at Tales of a Pee Dee Mama!
Ick - I've done that myself at least a million times.
ReplyDeleteI left my son's chocolate milk in the car overnight in the summertime before. Not pretty to open the door to... :)
ReplyDeleteLOL... nope not yet but I don't use my oven that much I just stick it in the sink :)
ReplyDeleteYuck! I'm glad that I didn't have to wash that one! Ha!
ReplyDeletelol...it does happen from time to time!!
ReplyDeleteI just found a moldy tomato on the counter...
ReplyDeleteNope, you're not alone. :)
Happy WW.
ReplyDeleteYou're not the only one who has done this. We use to put the pizza boxes in the over and I would always forget they were there. On a few times I pre-heated the oven with them in there, not such a good idea.
ReplyDeleteYikes! I have definitely forgotten about things (formerly known as leftovers) in the refrigerator that became very scary indeed...
ReplyDeleteWhoa! THAT is some funk! Been there, done that...which is why I now rely on the power of boiling water + dishwashing liquid + time. My sympathies!
ReplyDeleteWell after reading all the comments we join an elite group of "been there done that", I have done the same thing with an electric fry pan, yuck!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit to My Wordless Wednesday, hope to see you next week
Oops! :o)
ReplyDeleteThat's awsome you got a picture - what your mother-in-law say :)Saying hi through the Wordless Weds ... yes, I'm a day late ... stop by if you have the time!
ReplyDeleteOh that stinks! lol - Microwave! I've done stuff like that in the microwave. It's usually coffee. OMG - It's in there right now! I totally forgot. I was warming it up. rofl...
ReplyDeleteOooops - I know someone else who makes a habit of that. I still love him though ;)
