Flooding Wordless Wednesday 4-24-13 #WW

This was our yard last week.  Thankfully we got almost no water inside our house.  But many weren't so lucky.  Roads in my hometown (and other Chicago suburbs) are still shut down thanks to massive flooding of the Des Plaines River.

Please link up so I can stop by and check out your Wordless Wednesday post:

  8. Oh my! I live in New Zealand now, but I grew up in Skokie, so pretty close to where those photos are taken. Wow. I had heard flooding, but had no idea. Thanks for sharing these and I hope it recedes soon and you are all okay.
