Thankful Thursday

I have a couple online friends who also blog and take Thursday as a day to stop and consider all the blessings around them...thought this week it would be a good idea to join them.

I'm thankful for:
my family; my husband as crazy as he can make me, having him means I'm not alone. sometimes I don't look at him that way but he is very much my best friend. my kids who again make me crazy, though they have not given me any of the gray hair my mom always insisted I caused her. they are also the light of my life. I am so thankful to have them. they are amazing little creations and it is a blessing to be able to be their mother and watch them grow into the people that God intends for them.
my parents, in all the forms that I have them; biological, step and in laws. they each play a different role but important role in my life.
our extended family, again sometimes crazy but always there for me and typically so much fun.
for my home, as run down and tiny as it is, it is our home. while we have lost many material things from inside (and out) of it we have been protected from harm.

and today I'm especially thankful for new opportunities. We've started a small group study at church and I am truly amazed at how many small blessings have come from those 2 meetings so far.
