It was a very merry Christmas in the Noel house this year. The kids were maniacs on Christmas Eve, tempting their fate until the very last minute they were awake. Seriously, if it happens again next year I am resigned to not giving them gifts on Christmas day. They were also less than pleasing Christmas morning after all the gifts were open (they were awake before 5am, we held them off until 6 am and were DONE by 7am). Then we got a phone call letting us know that my father and step mom would not be attending the Christmas gathering we were heading to as her father passed away that morning. At that point I thought it might be time to crawl back in bed and pretend like it was NOT in fact Christmas at all. But then we headed out and the rest of the day was pretty darn nice. We spent the afternoon/evening at my Grandpa's...lady friend's house. They made us super comfortable and everyone loved the boys, who behaved moderately well. We had great food and my husband and I didn't really fight once. THAT in itself is a Christmas miracle!!
I have photos to share but I need to go referee an unsanctioned wrestling match right now...pictures to come tonight, I hope.
I hope everyone else had a great Christmas!!!
Anyone heading out for the sales today!?!?!

Just to let you know you have years of early Christmas wake-up calls left - my dd015 was up at 4:30am!!!! LOL, I just give into it and go with it.
ReplyDeleteYes, I am getting ready to head out for the sales. Hope I get some good ones.
ReplyDeleteGlad the rest of the day was nice for you. Waking early always makes things iffy. We were up at 5:30am. Way too early.
Sorry to hear about your stepmom's father. Besides that it sounds like a pretty typical Christmas (some early morning mania followed by a nice day)...
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by your blog to say "Hi". Have a wondeful New Year.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice when they get old enough to want to sleep rather than open up gifts early in the morning :)
ReplyDeleteSales are great!
