As if...

As if you didn't learn enough about me (and my bathroom habits) already today, I thought this would be a fun post.

Getting to know you....2009!

1. What is your occupation right now?
I work full time (most of the time) as an office manager, am working to start my own photography business, am the Children's Ministry team leader at our church, oh and I'm a mom of 3.

2. What color are your socks right now?
Socks?  I don't really wear socks ever.

3. What are you listening to right now?
Rock of Love Charm School Reunion.  I have a serious problem with watching reality TV, I know!

4. What was the last thing that you ate?
Salisbury steak

5. Can you drive a stick shift?
No, I have never made any attempts.

6. Last person you spoke to on the phone?
My step mom.

7. Do you like the person who sent this to you?
Not applicable since I stole it, I mean borrowed it from a fellow blogger but yes as much as I know her I do, or I wouldn't be following her blog.

8. How old are you today?
31

9. What is your favorite sport to watch on TV?
NASCAR or baseball.  Ok I KNOW NASCAR AND Rock of Love, sounds like I have no class at all....

10. What is your favorite drink?
Pepsi makes me happy because without it I don't get headaches but honestly I crave water most lately. If I were to have an alcoholic drink I like fruity things that don't taste at all like alcohol.

11. Have you ever dyed your hair?
Nope, never, ever.  And I don't lie either. :)  I started messing with my hair in 6th grade.  By the end of high school it had accidentally been green twice, as well as being blond, red, brown, black and that purplish maroon.

12. Favorite food?
Chocolate.  Or pasta, or seafood, or Mexican. Oh it really depends on my mood.

13. What is the last movie you watched?
Um...something rated G I'm sure.  Otherwise some Lifetime original

14. Favorite day of the year?
I can't pick one.  I love Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving and each of my kids birthdays.

15. How do you vent anger?
I'm embarrassed to say I usually only vent anger in my own house.  My husband knows he gets the special privilege of getting my anger from everyone in the world.  Luckily I don't get angry that often.  I never thought I'd be a yeller but I totally am.  I used to be a crier but now I mostly yell and sometimes cry.  Occasionally I can get out, drive in the car and sing anger away but when gas went to $4/gal it was way cheaper to just scream at my family.

16. What was your favorite toy as a child?
I loved Barbies and had tons.

17. What is your favorite season?
Fall. I just love all the colors and the holidays etc.

18. Cherries or Blueberries?
neither, cherry flavored stuff but not actual cherries, and nothing blueberry at all.

19. Living arrangements?
I'm in the suburbs of Chicago, in a neighborhood that is entirely too scary to raise kids but we just go day by day doing our best.  We live in a tiny 3 bedroom, 1 bath house with a teeny kitchen.  But we have a great yard we just get to witness way too much nasty stuff while out in it.

20. When was the last time you cried?
Earlier while viewing a video of a little boy who passed away from Neuroblastoma.

21. What is on the floor of your closet?
stuff lots and lots of stuff.

22. What did you do last night?
I went to a red carpet premier with Brad Pitt...oh wait, no, I sat here on the couch reading blogs until midnight.

23. What are you most afraid of?
Way too many freak things from watching those stupid what would you do shows for years...such as ending up in a river in our car and not being able to hold on to all the kids and having one be washed away. (Anyone else see this show? Seriously no on I know in real life knows what I'm talking about)  Or a fire in our house where I can't get to the boys because of how our house is laid out.

24. Plain, cheese, or spicy hamburgers?
Cheese, but the cheese HAS to be melted our YUCK!!!!!!!

25. Favorite dog breed?
I like too many.  We currently have a German Shepard...the jury is still out.  I wish we'd have got a dog that didn't shed, especially with a baby!!

26. Favorite day of the week?
That's hard, I love Sunday's because of church but it's hard knowing its back to it the next day.  I love Saturday and knowing I have one more day with my family.

27. How many states have you lived in?
One.  Outside of going to college, which was still in the same state, I haven't moved but a few miles away and am now probably a mile and half from the house I grew up in.

28. Diamonds or pearls?
Diamonds, no doubt.

29. What is your favorite flower?
Daisies.

  2. I love these kind of posts. They help you learn so much about a person. I just did a challenge one where you are given a letter and you have to come up with the 10 things you like most that start witht that letter. Feel free to read it. http://fortthompson.blogspot.com/2008/12/take-challenge.html
anyway loved the post, keep them coming. I see you have a button now, thats great! I already have your link on my blog but would be happy to swap buttons with you as well if you like. Just let me know.

  5. I'm glad to see you did this questionnaire...it's fun to learn new things about people this way!

I have to say I have the same exact fear of ending up with our mini-van in the water and not being able to save all my kids. I once complained about it to my husband after watching one of those 20/20 segments where they featured something about this and my husband rolled his eyes and said "what are the chances of that happening?"...very rare, I'm sure, but it still freaks me out to even think about it. Or if there's a fire in our home in the middle of the night while my husband is away on business and how would I manage to get all 4 kids out of our home safely by myself. UGH, terrifying thoughts!
