The excitement never ends....

I took Bryan to the Dr Tuesday for his 15 month check up and his ear looked great and his cough is gone.  Whew!  Now he just needs to get those teeth all the way through and he should be a happy baby again.  And really he pretty much is!  We were out yesterday and he was really happy and giggly!
But then I picked up Timmy from school and he immediately told me he needed some medicine because his throat hurt and his stomach hurt.  GREEAAT!  That's exactly how he started when he had Strep not long ago...  So he's home from school today very much down with something but still not tell tale white blotches in his swollen little throat so we'll have to see how things go this weekend.
Tonight is supposed to be football practice but its awfully soggy here (i.e. raining on and off ALL day thus far) so we'll see what happens.  Last weeks game was cancelled and rescheduled for next Friday night, at the time they usually have a practice...I'm not sure how that works.  I'm still trying to get over the fact that they had their first game after only an hour of practice...ever, in their little lives that have never included football really. I suppose that was our fault, but I presumed they'd be teaching them football not expecting them to know it.  We'll see how the rest of the season rolls but Timmy seems to have some natural talent so I'd hate to write it off but so far, I'm not in love.
I have however been in love with TBall for the last two years and that will be starting again this Monday with practice.  Timmy seems very excited about it and loves to practice when some one is able to play catch or pitch to him.  Johnny...well he likes getting out of the house and seeing other kids...we'll see if he really ever develops a true interest in sports.  But for now as long as its fun its worth it.  But I really like the park district TBall program, things work a bit different each year depending on the coach but for the most part its really been a great experience.

And since it's been awhile since I've posted a good bathroom story, I thought you might like to hear about the latest bathroom bits from this week.  Two nights ago the boys got baths, Bryan first, then Timmy and Johnny.  Bryan was not thrilled when I got him out to do his brothers to say the least and when Johnny decided to stay in he wanted back in the bathroom badly.  We fought him for a bit but then I finally just let him go, figuring he'd watch Johnny and dump toys into the tub.  But apparently the tub wasn't exciting enough...he decided to play in the toilet.  BLECH.  What is with boys and toilets, I don't get it.  But apparently this renewed my "big" boys interest in all this toilet and gross, because last night Johnny dunked Timmy's floss thing in it.  Luckily its a disposable thing, he did it AFTER it was used and Timmy didn't go for putting it back in his mouth despite his brothers urging.  Maybe I should be glad he wasn't feeling well...he may have just been crazy enough to do it if he was up to full strength.

So why exactly did I have more than one child???!?? Yeah, I don't know either... :)

  3. Luke likes to play in the toilet too! Acutally, so did Ella, so I guess it's not just a boy thing!

  4. I's so glad (so far) none of my boys have had much interest in the toilet, but I'm REALLY knocking on wood here! Mine are 5, 4 and 18 months (with another boy coming in Sept) so we'll see what tomorrow brings. It's always something interesting, isn't it???
