A Mouthful of Fun @ eBeanstalk

Friday, this shape sorter arrived at our house. I really wasn't sure how Bryan would like it, as he seems to have sort of snubbed the typical "baby" toys for his age in order to try and be a big boy like his brothers. But he ended up playing with it for at least 2 hours over the rest of the night. He did the circle again and again because he could do it all by himself. Then Timmy played with him, and set the other shapes in just a little so he could push them in all the way and he was so proud of himself. The toy also has sounds (with an option to turn it off or have it on two volume levels). You can select it to play music, say the name of the shape or the name of the color. Want to make it even MORE educational, it does all that in 3 different languages (English, Spanish and French). Bryan finds the name of the shapes particularly entertaining in French.

From the Manufacturer
A mouthful of multi stage fun cleverly designed pelican shape sorter provides baby with stage developmental challenges and fun. Explore shapes by hand or toss into pelican's mouth. Drop shapes through sorter or complete the puzzle. The multi lingual switch will allow baby to hear shapes in 3 languages.

Picking toys is not easy and there is a toy website called ebeanstalk, dedicated to selecting good, safe toys and baby gifts. But they need help from moms like me to help pick the toys. The toy they sent is called Sort n' Learn Pelican from Tiny Love, who makes great developmental toys
