My kids hadn't seen this show but they are big fans of the Transformer movies so I knew that it would be something they'd want to watch. I have to say that it won't be something I will be watching for my own enjoyment as it is very much a BOYS show. But the boys really liked it. I sort of expected some questions about how they were able to transform into animals after several years of actually transforming the toys form cars to robot but I don't know if it's because it's animated or what but they didn't even seem to question it. And I have to say I was sort of surprised that the first show actually explained WHY they had to transform into animals. Our family can often be over analytical and we can get stuck on questions like "Why are they animals now?" and have difficulty enjoying a showing while we ponder such things.
Overall, it is pretty much what you would expect to get based on the name. There is lots of action and a variety of animals/beasts. I definitely recommend it for your Transformer lovin' boys!
